Taiwan's Foxconn has signed a patent licensing agreement with Microsoft for Android and Chrome that will shield Android vendors from lawsuits by Microsoft, which claims the Google-developed programs use its technology. Meanwhile, Microsoft Vice President Terry Myerson said the company will not develop its own phone and instead will rely on partners such as Nokia and HTC to build Windows 8 phones.
