Private rocket cleared for first test launch today

Private space company Orbital Sciences' Antares rocket has been cleared for launch and is expected to liftoff for its first test flight this evening at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. The private rocket will be the largest ever to launch from NASA's facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore. The rocket will be used to launch Orbital's Cygnus spacecraft to deliver cargo to the International Space Station as part of a $1.9 billion contract with NASA.
