SEC's Walter raises questions about bond markets

During the start of a series of Securities and Exchange Commission discussions about fixed-income markets, SEC member Elisse Walter voiced worries about bond markets. "The more I look at it, the more concerns about fairness I have," Walter said. At the same time, Walter also emphasized that she doesn't believe the answer is an equity-style system for bonds, but rather a deeper understanding of bond markets by regulators so they can discover the correct changes to make.
