Survey: Retailers predict drop in traditional store sales

A majority of retailers expect sales at brick-and-mortar outlets to decline this year because of continued growth in online shopping, according to a survey by Rakuten of attendees at this year’s Internet Retailing Expo. Seventy-five percent of respondents pointed to international trade as a potential growth area, with 28% expressing concerns over e-infrastructure.
