Crude stockpile in the Gulf Coast hit 207.2M barrels last week, EIA reports

The Gulf Coast held 207.2 million barrels of crude oil inventories last week, according to the Energy Information Administration. The agency attributed the increased holdings to growth in oil production, reduced oil inputs at local refineries and a pipeline opening. "While [Gulf Coast] crude oil inventories typically build during the beginning of the year, this year's increase has been particularly notable," the agency said.
