Gas, electric company helps open door to summer jobs

Some students in Kern County, Calif., will spend the summer exploring career options, thanks to a partnership between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County and Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The eight-week program will offer classes in career exploration, financial literacy and awareness of service-learning. "It will be a game-changer for many of them, putting them on a positive path for their futures," said Zane Smith, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
