Students apply math skills in pitch to go green

Some students at an Iowa elementary school are using their math skills to convince the school board to replace foam lunch trays with reusable trays. Students have calculated the cost to make the switch and other factors, including costs of purchasing a dishwasher, using additional water and hiring extra staff.
