As fashion company Valentino became more store- and retail-focused, communicating a clear message was key, says CEO Stefano Sassi. Opening retail stores also meant having to update processes inside the company and turning designers' visions into to marketable products. "Fashion is not a mass market product. It's about creating a brand, creating a dream, creating a perception," Sassi says.
