CRB: Higher Net radio royalty rates will stand

The U.S. Copyright Royalty Board has rejected an appeal of new royalty rates by Internet radio broadcasters, who contended the higher fees could shut down many online outlets, and has refused to postpone the May 15 implementation. Once the CRB lists its ruling in the Federal Register, Net radio stations will have 30 days to appeal the decision in federal court, according to the Broadcast Law Blog.
