FDA panel votes for Avalide for treating high blood pressure

An FDA advisory panel recommended agency approval of Avalide, a Bristol-Myers Squibb drug, for an additional use in patients who have not been treated for high blood pressure. Avalide already is a blockbuster drug for treating hypertension in patients who did not respond to other treatments.
