Holocaust survivors celebrate life with students

San Diego Jewish Academy fifth-graders honored Holocaust Remembrance Day by meeting survivors who were themselves children when they were confined to concentration camps and lost most of their families. "You are probably ... the last generation who will be able to talk to and hear directly from individuals who survived that horrific period," Larry Acheatel, the academy's executive director, told the students.
