Yahoo! chief: Google's DoubleClick deal "validation" of ad strategy

Calling Google's $3.1 billion acquisition of DoubleClick a "validation of our strategy," Yahoo! Chief Executive Terry Semel did not join rival Microsoft and others in calling for antitrust regulators to investigate the deal. However, Semel in an interview did question whether the Google-run DoubleClick would be able to retain marketer clients who prefer to work with an independent shop.
