Column: REITs still face recession-related rent weakness

Peter Slatin says its "not quite time" for investors to jump back into REITs, which "took a beating" last year. "Recession-induced rent weakness is still to be felt," he said. Writing in a Forbes commentary, Slatin says he does see some opportunities in the sector, including two commercial property REITs and a non-REIT blend of a property portfolio with a management business.
