Physicians say having cancer screenings as recommended and making simple dietary changes, such as eating more foods with B6 vitamins, can help protect against colon cancer. Eating more fish, whole grains and beans also is beneficial, as well as taking low-dose aspirin and drinking a couple of cups of coffee each day.
