Hospira recalls propofol, Liposyn after FDA issues production warning

Hospira announced that it recalled sedative propofol and nutritional product Liposyn after being warned by the FDA about manufacturing violations at the company's Clayton, N.C., plant, where the drugs are made. The agency also issued a warning letter citing similar problems at Hospira's facility in Rocky Mount, N.C.
