Schumer says 5 major airlines vow to avoid carry-on fees

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said he has received verbal commitments from executives at five major airlines that they will not impose carry-on luggage fees as Spirit Airlines has done. American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, JetBlue Airways and Delta Air Lines have said they will not make the move, Schumer said.
