Cyclist's UC symptoms improve after ileostomy surgery

Bob Baker of Washington, Conn., suffered with ulcerative colitis for 27 years and survived colon cancer before he decided to have his colon removed, forcing him to use an ostomy bag to get rid of waste. Since then his UC symptoms have drastically improved and he has a new-found quality of life. He will be riding his bike in the "Phoenix Tour" to raise awareness and money for the United Ostomy Associations of America.
