Lawmakers work to restore funding for New England's only veterinary school

Massachusetts legislators are looking for ways to restore funding cut from the budget for Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, the only veterinary school in the New England region. Budget cuts in recent years have cut the school's funding more than in half, and this year's proposals range from $1 million to $3 million, a considerable decline from the $5.3 million Cummings used to receive.
