Carbon nanoparticles improve performance of lithium-sulfur batteries

Researchers in Canada and Germany are using porous carbon nanoparticles to improve the energy conversion efficiency of lithium-sulfur batteries, this article notes. Lithium-sulfur batteries, which exchange lithium ions between lithium and sulfur-carbon electrodes, could prove to be a successor to lithium-ion batteries.
