Chicago principals are planning ahead amid uncertainties

Principals in Chicago Public Schools say they are planning for longer school days next year amid ongoing budget constraints along with unsettled negotiations over teacher contracts. "The good news is it's making everyone think about how to make the best use of their time," said Barbara Radner, director of DePaul University's Center for Urban Education.
