Mayor fighting for a casino in Springfield, Mass.

The mayor of Springfield, Mass., wants a casino in the city. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno says he will "fight tooth and nail" to provide a home for a full-scale casino, now that the state legislature has approved three nontribal casinos for the Bay State. Ameristar Casinos became the first developer to show interest in Springfield when it purchased 41 acres for $16 million.
