Medicaid enrollment of children in Florida hits historic level

The number of children in Florida enrolled in Medicaid increased in March with 1,721,220 enrollees, according to data released by Florida KidCare on Monday. Along with other state health programs such as Healthy Kids, MediKids and the Children's Medical Service Network, the total number of insured children in the state hit the 2 million mark for the first time.
