Okla. Senate approves bill for firms to exit workers' comp system

The Oklahoma Senate has approved a measure that would let companies opt out of the workers' compensation system and seek alternative coverage or become self-insured. Business groups back the proposed measure because they say it could lower the cost of workers' compensation, while critics say injured workers' benefits would decrease.
