"Dream Team" of teachers in Conn. chosen for common core PD

Connecticut has chosen a "Dream Team" of 97 teachers from 86 schools to participate in TeachFest Connecticut, a rigorous professional-development session designed to prepare teachers for the Common Core State Standards. "TeachFest will provide teachers with the opportunity to collaborate and innovate as they develop high-quality Common Core resources to be shared with their colleagues," said state Education Commissioner Stefan Pryor. Those who participate in the training will become teacher-leaders in implementing the common core in Connecticut.
