Roof project worth over $400K at New Orleans building draws scrutiny

A project to install a new 25,977-square-foot roof at the Crescent City Connection police and maintenance building in New Orleans has drawn scrutiny. The $410,000 undertaking is drawing funds from toll fees, which critics say should be spent on traffic mitigation projects. The roofing project will include installation of curbs, scuppers, drains and flashing and is expected to reach completion by September.
