U.K. grocery chain pulls treats from checkout

Fresh fruit and nuts now stand where candy bars used to tempt in the checkout aisles of the U.K.'s Lidl grocery stores. The German-owned chain decided to yank junk food from checkout tills after surveying 1,294 customers and finding that 61% of parents would prefer that healthier options entice their children.
