New European rules on GM food begin

Brussels has introduced new rules on labeling genetically modified foods, giving consumers a choice if they want to purchase such products. Some argue the new rules, the toughest in the world, could pave the way to end the E.U. ban on GM foods, though food manufacturers worry the labeling rules are so strict they are challenging their validity in the WTO.
