Studies scheduled for HRT in younger women

Researchers at eight major medical centers across the U.S. plan to conduct a five-year study into whether hormone replacement therapy may have benefits for younger, newly menopausal women. The privately funded study will involve the women taking estrogen and progesterone and is aimed at answering some remaining questions from the Women's Health Initiative, which found that HRT was risky for older post-menopausal women.
