Discounters target Washington-area retail real estate

Despite its relative economic stability and strong retail fundamentals, discount stores have identified demand for their price points in the Washington area. Nordstrom Rack, Wal-Mart, Forman Mills, AJ Wright and Hobby Lobby have put into place plans to aggressively expand in the region, according to research by Delta Associates.
