Murphy's Law goes double for construction sites

Worst-case scenarios seem to crop up nine times out of 10 on construction sites, so managers need to plan ahead and be prepared for things to go awry, writes Christopher G. Hill. The key, Hill writes, is to insist on a detailed contract setting out not just what work needs to be done, but also how problems will be resolved and how disputes will be mediated. "Murphy was an optimist," he adds, "so plan for the worst."
