Report: Nearly 200 U.S. hotels in trouble with lenders

Two reports compiled to help hotel investors find distressed opportunities indicate nearly 200 hotels in the U.S. are behind on their loans and 120 hotel construction projects have been placed on hold because of financial struggles. The Distressed Hotel Asset report describes hotels with a public record of distress during the past year and a half, and a second report describes hotel projects that have been forced to halt construction. Both reports were compiled by Lodging Econometrics.
