Some New Orleans schools create successful special-needs programs

Some New Orleans schools are emerging as bright spots in meeting the needs of students in special education. Gregory Elementary's preschool program keeps class sizes small and has two teachers in each room to work with students who have autism, Down syndrome and other disabilities. A local charter school partnered with Teach for America to provide a specialized instructor for a student with multiple disabilities.
