Survey: Private-equity investors will pour more into emerging markets

Coller Capital released survey results showing that many private-equity investors are planning to ramp up investments in emerging-market funds. "There is a reduced opportunity set in the developed markets -- in particular large [leveraged-buyout] deals won't be available in the near future," said Sarah Alexander, president and CEO of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. "Limited partners want the growth that markets such as China and India provide and are now increasingly choosing to invest with the growing number of experienced local funds."
