CFTC's inspector general scrutinizes agency's proposals

The inspector general for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission released a scathing report on the agency's efforts to implement rules as mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act. The report says the CFTC is rushing to meet deadlines and not sufficiently analyzing rules for the swaps market. Members of Congress had asked the inspector general to conduct the review.
