Consumer spending helps spur U.S. economic growth

Consumer spending is helping to fuel the U.S. economy according to revised data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis that shows a 4% rise in the fourth quarter of 2010. The country's gross domestic product rose 3.1% in the same time period, posting its sixth straight quarter of growth.
