Data show physician turnover is increasing as economy improves

Physician turnover in 2010 increased to 6.1% from 5.9% in 2009, after an improvement in the economy, according to data from the annual Physician Retention Survey from Cejka Search and the American Medical Group Association. The survey indicated that 2011 could see even higher turnover rates but that medical groups can improve retention by offering flexible work options, leadership opportunities and other incentives.
