IOC, others target study's credentials, say it could hurt industry:

The International Olive Council and an affiliate group criticized a report by Australian and American researchers that says U.S. imports of extra-virgin olive oil do not meet IOC guidelines. North American Olive Oil Association Director Bob Bauer said that opponents "use and emphasize subjective and rejected tests to try to make people believe imported oils don't meet [the IOC's] more-stringent standards."
