Tablet ad revenues projected to reach $49 billion by 2015

The opportunities opened up by tablets for easy digital interaction between merchants and consumers will help boost ad revenue on the devices to $49 billion worldwide by 2015, according to Strategy Analytics. "Tablets are at the leading edge of convergence and they are increasingly designed to interact with smartphones, TVs and cars, rather than being perceived as largely standalone devices like laptops," said Strategy Analytics director Neil Mawston.
