Bill that includes Keystone XL language clears House

The House of Representatives cleared a key transportation-funding measure that includes language to expedite the approval of TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline. The move was praised by the American Petroleum Institute. "Approving the full Keystone XL pipeline would send a strong signal to the American people and to global markets that the U.S. is serious about providing reliable, secure supplies of energy that could help put downward pressure on fuel prices," said Marty Durbin, executive vice president of government affairs at API.
