Ferrari races to build an eco-friendly supercar

Ferrari's supercars have plenty of oomph under the hood, writes Paul Markillie, but soon they could also come with fuel-saving features such as regenerative brakes, stop-start engines or even all-electric motors. With rivals such as Porsche, Jaguar, McLaren and Honda developing eco-friendly options, Ferrari can't afford to be caught napping, Markillie explains. "New technologies can prove disruptive in any industry, unseating champions and letting others grab the laurels," he writes.
