Shell contacts Pa. regulators as it assesses potential for ethane cracker

Royal Dutch Shell is consulting Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection as it studies building an ethane cracker in the state. "It's nice to be able to get in on the ground floor of the design of the plant and not just meet standards but exceed them," said Ron Schwartz of the DEP. "They're not just asking what's required, they're asking what's best."
