Why companies are dropping blogs for social nets

Following a trend among consumers, businesses large and small are abandoning blogs and shifting over to social networks, according to a University of Massachusetts Dartmouth survey. Social media are viewed as more trouble-free than blogs, which are costly to maintain and less likely to be trafficked by consumers, who spend much of their time on social networks. Said Bank of America spokesman T.J. Crawford, "We want to be where our customers are."
