AMD ships low-power "Kabini" APUs, forecasts higher Q2 revenue

Advanced Micro Devices has begun shipments of its low-power "Kabini" accelerated processing units, which offer "substantial performance and battery life improvements," CEO Rory Read told financial analysts. Meanwhile, AMD forecast its second quarter revenue will be in the range of $1.08 billion to $1.14 billion, higher than the average of $1.07 billion predicted by analysts, according to Bloomberg.
