Analyst: Google's Chromebooks shouldn't be underestimated

Google's Chromebooks aren't breaking any sales records, but NPD Group's Stephen Baker says he isn't discounting their potential because they account for more than 20% of notebook sales under $300. "We think that Chromebooks are just as competitive with low-cost Android tablets as they are with low-cost Windows clamshell PCs," Baker says. "It's selling at a pretty decent rate for a product that retailers have been reluctant to support."
