New Miller ads use humor to challenge "King of Beers"

SABMiller's Miller Brewing has launched a series of ads that make fun of rival Anheuser-Busch's marketing icons, including the Clydesdale horses. One ad questions whether beer drinkers prefer a monarchy or a democracy, a clear reference to the Budweiser tag line "King of Beers." While Miller views the ads as some of its strongest messages in years, an analyst from the beverage marketing firm Liquid Intelligence isn't sure the ads will appeal to beer drinkers.
