Cookie deletions may not be as frequent as reported

Recent findings by Jupiter Research and Nielsen//NetRatings that nearly half of all Web users delete their cookies on a monthly basis were widely debated by online advertisers. AQuantive's Atlas Institute now concurs that about 43% of users regularly delete cookies. However, its new findings also suggest that cookies are staying active on user hard drives longer than previously reported.
