Hayward officials to file injunction against striking teachers

With only about 20% of Hayward students attending classes, district officials announced plans to file an injunction to force striking teachers to return to class, after talks broke down again Wednesday evening. California standardized tests are scheduled for the coming week, and unless 95% of students participate, the entire district will automatically fail for the second time under NCLB.
