Southwest to request proposals for wireless system

Southwest Airlines plans to seek proposals to equip some of its aircraft as prototypes for in-cabin wireless systems. CEO Gary Kelly says the airline hopes to launch the prototypes within the next nine months. Wireless access is part of Southwest's plan to generate ancillary revenue.
