VetFran program gives veterans a hand in starting business

The International Franchise Association's Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative, or VetFran, assists honorably-discharged servicemen and women in staring their own franchise businesses. The program, which has garnered the cooperation of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, among others, recently named its 700th veteran franchisee. IFA companies participating in the program, including Meineke Car Care Centers, Rolly Pollies children's fitness centers and UPS Stores, have helped veterans get started in the sector.
