$4 billion in stimulus funds sent to California

California received about $4 billion Friday in federal-stimulus money for education, making it the first state to receive the funds that Education Secretary Arne Duncan says will "save jobs and lay the groundwork for a generation of education reform." Other states are expected to receive their share of stimulus funds for education in the next few days.
